About the Inventor
Gary advanced his technical background in metal fabrication during his training at the United States Navy C1 welding school. After this, he merged his shipyard experience with his artistic ability by launching and running a successful architectural railing business in New York for over 15 years. Following the sale of that business, he fulfilled a lifelong dream of relocating to Florida. There he accepted a pipe welding position, which eventually led to the owner presenting him with the opportunity to duplicate his previous success by constructing a shop dedicated to prefabrication for the company.
While running the prefab shop, he identified a significant bottleneck in the workflow: the fabrication of custom pipe stands for each project. Each stand's height, width, and central line were custom tailored in preparation for hot dip galvanizing, a process that typically took four to six weeks from the ordering of materials to delivery. As a skilled problem solver, he designed a versatile pipe stand that could be adjusted for height and width on-site, streamlining the entire process.
